Love this. I feel like we don’t give each other a chance to learn our bodies, enough. One bad session and onto the next one. Hookup culture has taken the spiritual connection out of sex, imo. It becomes all about one person or the other getting their needs met and thats it. Those three freedoms are very useful and unfortunately we learn stuff like this later in life after years of being told bad information. Great essay.

Freedom to take my time, take “breaks” and check in with myself. Freedom to remember my breath and surrender deeply.
Freedom from the limited scope of what a pleasurable experience is “supposed to” look and feel like.
Freedom not to judge and shame the expressions that are arise in the intimate, vulnerable and highly co-creative process.
